Kerzner reprimanded for data loss
The International Charter today issued a formal notice to the Kerzner group that it has been censured as a result of disclosing the personal details of over 55,000 guests.
Information stolen included names, addresses, credit card details, Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers and bank account data, the filing said.
The Atlantis hotel management is notifying affected customers in writing so they can take steps to protect themselves from possible identify fraud.
At this time there is no information relating to how the information was removed from the company's database.
